Conciliation is a form of dispute resolution in which the Parties attempt to settle their own dispute and may seek the views of the Conciliator. He may give recommendations, which are not binding, unless the Parties adopt them and enter into an agreement based on them. It can be a short process and is very flexible. It can be very useful to unlock difficult points of principle when Parties have agreed on other points.
